IPMAT Exam Pattern — IIM Indore & Rohtak

The IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) is conducted by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak separately, each following its own format. The test evaluates candidates on Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability skills.

IIM Indore IPMAT Pattern

• Total Sections: 3
  1. Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Questions)
  2. Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Questions)
  3. Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Questions)
• Duration: 120 minutes (40 minutes per section)
• Marking Scheme: +4 for each correct answer, −1 for each incorrect MCQ (no negative marking for short answers)

IIM Rohtak IPMAT Pattern

• Total Sections: 3
  1. Quantitative Ability
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Verbal Ability
• Duration: 120 minutes
• Marking Scheme: +4 for each correct answer, −1 for each incorrect answer

Mode of Examination

The exam is conducted online (computer-based) at designated test centers across India.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates are invited for a Personal Interview (PI) based on their IPMAT scores. The final selection is made considering the Aptitude Test Score, PI performance, and past academic records.
